Nature is large, abundant. What am I to do with it? My installations started with bought bales of pine needles — what easy abundance! — and evolved to collecting pine needles from a grove of loblolly pines, and stripping bark at a logging site. (The loss of huge tulip poplars, hearing them crash across the valley from us, was a painful experience, but there was the offering, the opportunity, I could not pass up.) I relish the challenge of on-site installation, problem solving, as a bird or beaver chooses its site, its materials — except they’ve done it before and it’s probably in their genes. Please look into what I’ve come up with so far. It’s my passion. Click on the small picture for more details and a larger picture. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
