Basket Forms/Geode detail

Geode: Pine, acorns, sassafras legs, 13”h x 14”w x 12”d, 2001. The pine “knee” was an unusual bump sticking out of the base of a tree. Perhaps it originally was a root that was sticking up out of the ground and bent over. I hollowed it out with a chain saw. $2500
